Swim (1.9 km)

The race begins with a single clockwise-loop swim in the clear waters off Mactan Newtown.

Known for its relatively calm waters and tropical scenery, the swim provides a picturesque opening to race day.

Bike (90 km)

The bike leg is among the race’s biggest attractions.

Athletes tackle a fast, flat three-loop course through Lapu-Lapu City before crossing the iconic Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

Cyclists ride into Cebu City’s South Road Properties (SRP), complete several turnaround sections, then return across CCLEX for additional loops before heading back to transition.

The course combines long straightaways with sweeping bridge views, making it one of the fastest bike courses on the IRONMAN circuit.

Run (21.1 km)

The half marathon unfolds around Punta Engaño, with athletes completing multiple loops through roads lined with spectators, entertainment stations, and hydration points.

The run course has become known for its festive atmosphere, earning the race recognition as one of the most spectator-friendly events in the IRONMAN calendar.

Professional athletes will be the first to enter the water, followed by rolling starts for age-group competitors.

Participants are given approximately:

  • 70 minutes to finish the swim
