MOSCOW, August 7. /TASS/. Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 203 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the Black Sea overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Attack scale

• Between 8 p.m. Moscow time on August 6 and 8 a.m. on August 7 (5 p.m. - 5 a.m. GMT), Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 203 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs over the country’s regions, the Defense Ministry said.

• According to the ministry, the drones were downed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Tula, Krasnodar and Perm Regions, as well as the Republics of Crimea, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, and the Black Sea.

Aftermath

• A UAV attack caused a fire at a Wildberries logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, the press service of the merged Wildberries and Russ company (RWB) said.

• The facility temporarily restricted incoming deliveries and redirected them to other locations, RWB noted.

• Eight hundred people were evacuated from the site, Russian Presidential Envoy to the Urals Federal District Artyom Zhoga said.

• No one was injured.

• Three Ukrainian UAVs fell on the roof of the Wildberries logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler later clarified on Max.

• Emergency responders are working at the scene, while firefighters are extinguishing the blaze.
