According to Ukrinform, Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, announced this on the social media platform X.

“Each new attack on Ukraine is another reason for Europe to tighten the screws on Russia. As a response to the recent series of Russian airstrikes, the EU today adopted new sanctions listings targeting five individuals involved in Russia's military-industrial complex,” she stated.

According to Kallas, while the Russian army is bogged down on the battlefield, Moscow continues its campaign of escalating terror against the civilian population.

“The EU must continue to intensify pressure on Russia until Moscow ends its war,” Kallas emphasized.
