According to Ukrinform, this information is included in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8.

The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles and carried out 77 airstrikes, dropping 242 guided bombs.

In addition, Russian invaders deployed 10,837 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,327 shelling attacks.

Korenok, Bezsalivka, Tovstodubove, Sopych, Yastrubshchyna, Luzhky, and Studenok were subjected to artillery shelling. Furthermore, in the Sumy region, the areas around Kucherivka, Tovstodubove, and the city of Sumy were targeted by airstrikes.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces’ Air Force, Missile Forces, and Artillery struck 15 areas where Russian troops were concentrated and three UAV command posts.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy assaults. The Russian Federation’s army carried out 52 shelling attacks, two of which involved multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled 12 Russian attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Vovchansk and Lyman, as well as toward Radkivka, Hoptivka, Zapadne, and Petro-Ivanivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched two attacks toward Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched seven attacks in the areas of Lyman and Dibrova, as well as toward Tverdokhlibove and Novoselivka.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 15 assault operations in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Pyskunivka, and Kalenyky.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops launched a single attack in the direction of Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, 22 attacks were recorded. The Defense Forces successfully repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Ivanopillia, as well as in the directions of Rusyn Yar, Novoselivka, Toretske, and Mykolaipillia.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 30 attacks. Russian forces were active near Bilytske, Rodynske, Serhiivka, and Kotlyne, and carried out assaults toward Toretske, Dorozhne, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Novohryshyne, Myrne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka, and Mykolaivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders attacked eight times, attempting to advance toward Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne, Staroukrainka, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled three Russian attempts to advance toward Lukianivske and Pavlivka.

In the Prydniprovske and Oleksandrivka sectors, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the Russian army forming offensive groups were detected.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—from February 24, 2022, to August 8, 2026—amount to approximately 1,456,610 soldiers.
