The Mananthavady municipality has decided to hand over the existing municipal office complex for use by the Wayanad Government Medical College, Mananthavady. The decision comes as the municipal office is being shifted to a new building. The present municipal office is located near the road leading to the medical college.

The decision was taken at a municipal council meeting held on Saturday (August 8) following a request from the medical college authorities.

Mananthavady municipal chairperson Jacob Sebastian, vice chairperson Sindu Sebastian and other council members attended the meeting.
