NEW YORK, August 8. /TASS/. Delays in air defense missile supplies could force Kiev to accept Russia’s terms to resolve the conflict, Bloomberg columnist Marc Champion said.

He pointed out that Ukraine was facing shortages of US-made Patriot missiles due to the conflict between Washington and Tehran. Meanwhile, delays in military supplies were preventing Ukraine from maintaining its air defenses at the required level. France and Italy are discussing the possible delivery of some of their SAMP/T air defense systems to Kiev, "but the available stock of interceptors is even smaller than for the American version," Champion noted.

"There are just three possible ways forward now," he said. The first would involve the West finding the interceptors Ukraine needs. Under the second scenario, Kiev would accept Russia's demand that Ukrainian forces withdraw from Donbass. In the third, the conflict would continue at least into 2027, forcing Ukraine to endure "another, still more brutal winter."
