CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — At least 3,388 individuals or 849 families have been affected by flooding and heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) in Oriental Mindoro, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). In its situation update as of 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, the PDRRMO said flooding was reported in several barangays in Baco, Bongabong, Calapan City, Naujan, Roxas, San Teodoro and Victoria, with portions of roads also rendered impassable.
