Police close access to areas near National Stadium due to crowding at NDP 2026

SINGAPORE – Access to several areas near the National Stadium has been closed owing to crowding at the National Day Parade.

According to online map Crowd@NationalStadium, as at 6pm on Aug 9, the following areas are closed:

• Stadium Riverside Walk (Areas B and C)
• Water Sports Centre, and
• Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower

At least five other areas around the Kallang Basin were also considered “very crowded”.

The police have advised the public to check Crowd@NationalStadium – https://go.gov.sg/crowd-at-national-stadium – or the police’s Facebook page for the latest information.

The map is available from 4pm to 10.30pm on Aug 9.

Those going to areas around the National Stadium are advised to check real-time crowd levels first.
