Israeli settlers on Wednesday forcibly evicted a Palestinian family from their home in the town of Jalud, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, before taking over their property, Wafa news agency reported.

A local activist told the agency that the settlers forced the family of Mahmoud al-Tubasi to leave after besieging them for more than three months and carrying out daily assaults.

He said settlers had previously established an outpost near the family's home and had set the house on fire. Despite this, the family remained in the house while enduring severe conditions, including shortages of food and water.

According to the activist, settlers cut off the home's electricity and prevented anyone from delivering food, water or medicine, eventually forcing the family to leave before seizing the property.

Settler attacks on Palestinians and their property are routine in the occupied West Bank and are rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
