A woman dining with her family aboard a Carnival cruise has left social media users disgusted after videos showed her scratching her foot and then eating with the same hand.

The clips were recorded by Instagram user @lucky_charmedcourt, who claimed the woman appeared to be scratching what looked like a fungal infection or dry, flaky skin on her foot while having lunch.

In the first video, the woman was seen sitting with one leg crossed over the other as she repeatedly scratched her foot with her hand. She then brushed the dead skin that had fallen onto her pants into the air before using the same hand to pick up food from her plate and put it into her mouth.

A second video, shared soon after, showed the woman using a fork to scratch her foot and scrape off more dead skin.

The videos went viral as viewers expressed outrage over the woman's actions and raised concerns about hygiene.

One user claimed they were "sure she touched everything at the buffet with those same hands."

Another said the incident made them want to start bringing their own silverware to restaurants.

"Please tell me you told staff," a viewer commented.

Others said the clip was the reason they preferred using plastic utensils, while one simply wrote, "I'm horrified. This is disgusting."

While it remains unclear whether any crew members were alerted to the incident, the videos have continued to circulate online, with many viewers calling the woman's actions inappropriate in a shared dining setting.
