Car and bus collide in Auckland's Ponsonby, one seriously injured

One person has been seriously injured in a bus crash on Auckland's Ponsonby Rd.

The bus collided with a car at 2pm near the Brown St intersection.

Initial reports suggested no one was hurt, but Hato Hone St John Ambulance said two people were taken to Auckland City Hospital, one in a serious condition.

A spokesperson said seven people were assessed or treated at the scene.

Police asked drivers to avoid the area.
