Today we are interviewing Cizonet Solutions, the team behind HRAP Lite. HRAP Lite is an innovative employee self-service platform designed to streamline workplace requests, improve engagement, and drastically reduce administrative workloads for HR departments.

What does HRAP Lite do? And why is now the time for it to exist?

HRAP Lite is an employee self-service platform that gives employees direct access to essential workplace services, including attendance, leave requests, training, company communication, personal records, and HR-related workflows.

The platform reduces the dependency on HR teams for repetitive administrative tasks while improving transparency and employee engagement.

The timing is right because workplaces are becoming increasingly digital and distributed. Employees expect the same level of convenience they experience with consumer apps, while HR teams need tools that allow them to focus on strategic people operations rather than manual processing.

What is your traction to date? How many people does HRAP Lite reach?

HRAP Lite currently supports approximately 85 employees using the platform within organizations adopting the HRAP ecosystem.

At this stage, our focus has been validating the employee self-service experience, improving usability, and ensuring that the platform solves real workplace challenges before scaling adoption further.

Who does your HRAP Lite serve? What’s exciting about your users and customers?

HRAP Lite is built for employees within organizations using HRAP Suite, providing a modern self-service experience for attendance, leave, company communication, documents, learning, and workplace services.

What technologies were used in the making of HRAP Lite? And why did you choose the ones most essential to your tech stack?

HRAP Lite was built as a Progressive Web App (PWA), allowing employees to access it across devices without the friction of traditional app installation.

The frontend was built using React, TypeScript, and Next.js to provide a fast, scalable, and maintainable user experience. For infrastructure and backend services, we leverage technologies including Cloudflare Workers, Appwrite, Supabase, and PostgreSQL to provide secure authentication, scalable APIs, and reliable data management.

These technologies were selected because they allow us to build a modern HR platform that can scale efficiently as more organizations adopt the ecosystem.

What is traction to date for HRAP Lite? Around the web, who’s been noticing?

HRAP Lite currently has approximately 85 active users engaging with the platform through HRAP deployments. Our early traction has primarily come from organizations using HRAP Suite, where employees are adopting HRAP Lite for workplace services such as attendance, communication, training, and employee requests.

We are still in the early growth phase, but these initial users have helped validate the need for a simpler, more accessible employee self-service experience.

A 58 score is a useful early signal, but we see it as a starting point rather than a final measurement.

HRAP Lite solves a genuine workplace problem, but usefulness increases as more organizations integrate it into their daily operations and employees build consistent usage habits.

Our goal over the next phase is to strengthen adoption, retention, and measurable outcomes around HR efficiency and employee engagement.

What excites you about HRAP Lite's potential usefulness?

The biggest opportunity is removing unnecessary friction from everyday workplace interactions.

Employees shouldn’t need to send emails or messages for simple requests like checking records, applying for leave, accessing training materials, or receiving company updates.

By giving employees direct access to these services, HRAP Lite creates a smoother workplace experience while allowing HR teams to operate more strategically.

Walk us through your most concrete evidence of usefulness.

The strongest evidence is the repeated need for employee self-service workflows inside organizations.

HR teams spend significant time answering recurring questions and processing routine requests. HRAP Lite addresses these repetitive interactions by creating a structured system where employees can independently complete tasks that previously required manual intervention.

As adoption grows, we are focused on measuring specific outcomes such as reduced HR request volume, faster request completion times, and employee engagement.

How do you measure genuine user adoption versus "tourists" who sign up but never return?

We measure adoption through meaningful workplace actions rather than account creation alone.

Key indicators include recurring employee usage, completed leave requests, attendance interactions, training participation, communication engagement, and continued usage within organizations.

Because HRAP Lite is connected to real workplace workflows, retention is naturally tied to whether employees find value in completing their daily HR activities through the platform.

If we re-score your project in 12 months, which criterion will show the biggest improvement, and what are you doing right now to make that happen?

The biggest improvement will likely come from adoption and evidence of usefulness.

Right now, we are focused on expanding organizational deployments, improving onboarding, increasing employee engagement, and introducing deeper workplace automation features.

The goal is to move from being a useful HR tool to becoming an essential employee workplace companion.

Since HRAP Lite is adopted alongside the broader HRAP Suite, how many organizations are currently in your active onboarding pipeline, and what is your strategy to accelerate these deployments?

HRAP Lite adoption currently follows HRAP Suite deployments, and we currently have 7 organizations in our active onboarding pipeline, with approximately 85 employees already using the platform.

Our strategy is focused on making adoption as seamless as possible by improving product readiness, documentation, onboarding processes, and customer support. As more organizations modernize their HR operations, we aim to make HRAP easier to deploy while helping companies quickly activate employee self-service capabilities and deliver a better workplace experience for their teams.

As HRAP Lite's user base expands, do you have plans to offer the self-service platform as a standalone product, or will its growth remain strictly tied to companies that adopt the full HRAP Suite?

Currently, HRAP Lite is designed as the employee experience layer of HRAP in the Cizonet ecosystem.

However, we are evaluating opportunities where certain self-service capabilities may become available as standalone offerings, especially for organizations that need employee engagement tools without requiring the full HR management suite.

You noted that HRAP Lite reduces the administrative workload for HR teams. Can you share a specific example or metric demonstrating the average number of hours saved per week by routing requests through your platform?

We are currently measuring detailed efficiency benchmarks across our growing deployments, but early usage has already shown a reduction in repetitive HR interactions.

Across our current adoption base of 7 organizations and approximately 85 employees, HRAP Lite helps reduce manual handling of common employee requests such as leave submissions, attendance inquiries, training access, and employee information updates.

While we are continuing to collect enough operational data to publish a standardized hours-saved metric, the immediate value is clear: employees can complete routine HR tasks independently, allowing HR teams to spend less time on administrative follow-ups and more time on strategic workforce initiatives.
