Heart Evangelista says she donated ex-boyfriend’s diamond ring to charity

Heart Evangelista revealed that she donated a diamond ring given to her by a former boyfriend to charity following their painful breakup.

Evangelista shared the story during a recent episode of her GMA game show, “The People Have Spoken,” while answering the question: “Hindi maayos ang break up niyo ng jowa mong nagtaksil sayo. Ano ang gagawin mo sa mga regalo niya?”

Relating to the game question, the actress-host said she once received a heart-shaped diamond ring from an ex who proposed to her, but she eventually decided to give it away after their breakup.

“Merong nag-propose sa akin dati. Binigyan niya ako ng heart na diamond. Sobrang heartbroken ko, pinamigay ko siya sa charity,” Evangelista said.

The actress-host also revealed that she sold another piece of jewelry given to her by the same former partner. “‘Yung isang necklace na binigay niya sa akin, binenta ko,” she added.

Evangelista did not identify the former boyfriend she was referring to but the actress has had several high-profile relationships before marrying Senator Chiz Escudero in 2015.

Her former partners include John Prats, whom she has described as her first love; Jericho Rosales, whom she dated for about three years before their controversial 2008 breakup; and Daniel Matsunaga, whom she dated from 2010 to 2012.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Evangelista’s candid remarks on “The People Have Spoken” have gained attention online. In a previous episode, she drew laughs after joking about choosing money over friendship. /edv
