Seventeen’s Mingyu, Seungkwan, Dino announce military enlistment dates

Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino of Seventeen are set to fulfill their mandatory military service beginning in September and October, their agency announced on Monday.

Pledis Entertainment told fans that Mingyu would begin serving his military duty as a social service agent on Sept. 10. While Seungkwan and Dino will enlist together as members of the Army marching band on Oct. 26.

Jeonghan completed his service in June 2025, while Wonwoo, Hoshi and Woozi are currently enlisted.

In July, all 13 members of Seventeen have renewed their contracts with Pledis Entertainment for the second time. The agency shared that all members except those currently serving in the military have signed the new contracts. The remaining members will do so after completing their service.

Meanwhile, Seventeen’s compilation album in Japan accumulated 1 million shipments as of July, earning a “million” certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the organization also said on Monday.

“Always Yours,” its best-of album from 2023, joins the ranks along with the group’s 10th and 11th EPs, “FML” and “Seventeenth Heaven,” and the group’s first EP in Japan, “Dream.” The 13-member act is the first K-pop artist to cinch four million certifications in the country. /edv
