A.R. Rahmanâs son and playback singer A.R. Ameen was involved in a car accident in Chennaiâs Guindy area during the early hours of Monday, August 10. Ameen and his friend sustained minor injuries after their car collided with a cab near the Olympia Tech Park signal and were subsequently taken to hospital for treatment. Both were later discharged and returned home, while police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the late-night collision.

According to a report by News18, A.R. Ameen was travelling in his car with a friend at around 3:30 am on Monday when the accident occurred near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy. The duo was reportedly heading towards Guindy when a cab approaching from a side road collided with their vehicle. The impact caused damage to both cars, though there were no reports of any major injuries to Ameen or his friend, offering relief to fans and well-wishers given the risks associated with such late-night collisions.

Ameen hospitalised, later discharged after treatment

Following the collision, Ameen and his friend were taken to Kauvery Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries before being discharged and returning home. A passenger travelling in the cab also sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital for treatment, after which they too were discharged.

The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing has since taken up the case and is examining the circumstances surrounding the collision. Both vehicles involved have reportedly been seized as part of the ongoing investigation, with further details expected as the police inquiry continues.
