The multiple pile-up happened near the Prins Clausplein junction at Nootdorp at around 10am. Police are investigating the cause.

Two ambulances were seen at the scene, but no details have been released about whether any drivers or passengers were injured.

Traffic in the Utrecht direction was diverted via the A20 and A13 via Rotterdam. One lane has since reopened.
