TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — A Cuvier’s beaked whale was found dead along the coastal area of Abulug town in Cagayan on Sunday, Aug. 9, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Cagayan Valley reported Monday, Aug. 10. The local coast guard and volunteers retrieved the whale and brought it to the Abulug Fishery Research and Training Center (AFRTC) for examination and proper disposition by Dr. Jefferson Soriano, a fishery bureau veterinarian.
