HYDERABAD
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) senior leader and Deputy Floor Leader in the Assembly T. Harish Rao demanded that the government fill Annapurna, Ranganayakasagar, Mallannasagar, Kondapochammasagar and Nrusimhasagar reservoirs with water from Mid Manair and ensure water for irrigation to about 4 lakh acres under them.

Similarly, Lower Manair Dam could also be filled with water from Mid Manair to give water for irrigation to the ayacut in SRSP Stage-2.
He brought to the minister’s notice that the 4 lakh acres ayacut was given water in the last Rabi season by filled the reservoirs and MI tanks, check-dams linked to them.
