Ukraine's national postal service Ukrposhta has reopened its central branch in the town of Borodianka, Kyiv region, which was destroyed in 2022.
That is according to the company's press service, Ukrinform reports.
"The damaged Ukrposhta branch in Borodianka, Kyiv region, has resumed operations. In spring 2022, during the temporary occupation, Russian troops turned the building into a stronghold and, as they retreated, almost completely destroyed it. Today, Ukrposhta is once again welcoming customers," the statement said.
The reconstruction work was carried out under the coordination of the Department of Regional Development of the Kyiv Regional State Administration and funded through a recovery program. The work lasted more than a year.
Ukrposhta noted that the development of the facility will not end there. The next stage will be the creation of a modern Ukrposhta logistics hub. The site is planned to house a base for mobile branches and a postal depot. This will help speed up deliveries and improve services not only for residents of the Borodianka community but also for dozens of surrounding settlements.
As reported, the first bank branch with enhanced accessibility has opened in Borodianka, Kyiv region, which is still recovering from the Russian occupation in 2022.
