On Monday afternoon, there were two forensics vans on Bollinder Place, and a police officer was seen walking out of Valencia Tower.

One resident of a nearby block of flats, who wished to remain anonymous, said: 'You could hear the police on Thursday morning, it was frantic, I thought it was from the McDonald's.

'It all happened inside the building, it wasn't someone falling out.'

Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart said: 'This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the young woman who has lost her life.

'We understand that news of an incident like this will cause concern within the local community.

'Local officers will continue to be visible in the area and are available to speak with residents who have questions or concerns.
