Minister of Roads and Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy on Monday (August 10, 2026) urged the people to support the coalition government that is working for the welfare and development of the State in the upcoming local body elections. He asked the public not to trust the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).
Mr. Janardhan Reddy inaugurated development works worth ₹2.76 crore in Koilkuntla town of the Banaganapalli constituency, including newly laid CC roads and drains. Speaking on the occasion, he noted that the people of Koilkuntla supported him in the last elections, which ensured his victory. “We are laying roads even in the lanes and by-lanes. While only ₹24 lakh were spent on development works in the town during the previous five years of YSRCP governance, we undertook development works worth ₹8 crore in just two years,” he said.
The Minister added that he had set up a water plant using his personal funds of ₹12 lakh and will set up another water plant at the high school using his own funds. He listed out the various welfare schemes of the coalition government including the “Thalliki Vandanam”, “Deepam-2” scheme and others.
Mr. Janardhan Reddy criticised the previous YSRCP government for failing to fill a single job through DSC in its five-year tenure. “Now they are demanding the resignation of HRD Minister Nara Lokesh alleging irregularities in the conduct of DSC–2025 examination. YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should come to the Assembly and debate on the issue if he has guts,” he said.
