Fil-Brit Miss Universe bet Angela Aumonier returns to PH for advocacy, training
Part-Filipino Miss Universe Great Britain Angela Aumonier is back in the Philippines for a series of charity work, and to prepare for her upcoming international pageant happening in Puerto Rico in November.
Members of the media from the Philippines caught up with the epidemiologist when she watched the recent Reina Filipinas Grand Coronation Night in Pasay City.

“We are on a charity outreach program with a sisterhood. So as part of being Miss Universe Great Britain, it’s just all about the outreach program,” Aumonier responded when Inquirer Entertainment asked what brought her to Manila.
The 25-year-old British-Filipino beauty queen has been joining beauty pageants in Cebu before bagging Britain’s national crown. She took part in the 2024 Miss Mandaue pageant, and finished first runner-up at the 2025 Miss Cebu contest.
Although her pageant journey has mostly taken place in the “Queen City of the South,” Aumonier traces her roots to Biliran Island. Her mother is from Naval, the capital town of the province.
Aumonier won the Miss Universe Great Britain crown at a competition held last month in the city of Newport in Wales. She bested 37 other aspirants to inherit the title from Danielle Latimer.
In 2024, another part-Filipino woman took home the national title, pageant veteran Christina Chalk. She won her crown just months after competing at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

In discussing her trip back to the Philippines, Aumonier said she and her team will be donating money, and will conduct confidence workshops that aim to empower women and girls.
“My advocacy really lies on women’s health. I am an epidemiologist and I have my own charity. Health should not be a luxury. It should be mandatory for everyone,” she said.

Aumonier will reunite with the team she had when she was doing pageants in Cebu to help prepare for the 75th Miss Universe pageant, including Michelle Padayhag for question-and-answer.
For “pasarela” (pageant walk), she has tapped Antonio Gonzales of Muse Philippines, the same person who trained Cebuana queens Nicole Borromeo and Apriel Smith for the 2026 Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
After her visit to the Philippines, Aumonier said that she is scheduled to fly to India and Uganda next to continue her charity mission. /edv
