Supreme Court advocate Vineet Jindal has stated that a legal notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been prepared, and further legal action will be initiated to ensure that all genuine grievances related to alleged discrepancies in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) results are addressed and investigated.

In a post on X, Jindal said he has received three complaints from candidates alleging discrepancies in their OMR sheets.

"The documents shared by the candidates prima facie indicate inconsistencies that deserve a fair and impartial examination," he tweeted.

According to Jindal, he has asked each complainant to submit a written undertaking confirming that the documents provided by them are authentic and have not been fabricated, modified, or tampered with. The move, he said, is aimed at verifying the credibility of the complaints before proceeding further.

On July 20, the National Testing Agency (NTA) dismissed allegations made by five NEET re-test candidates regarding discrepancies in their OMR answer sheets. The agency claimed that the images shared by the candidates or circulated on their behalf were digitally altered, AI-generated, or manipulated by adding responses that were not present on the original answer sheets.
