The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Ladoja has once again warned Mogajis, compound heads, against involvement in any criminal activities.

Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State noted that Mogajis who are the practical representatives of the Olubadan within their compounds, will henceforth be held accountable for any security lapses in their domains.

The traditional ruler gave the warning while installing four Mogajis in the ancient city.

Those that were installed are Olusegun Emmanuel Ogunyemi of Ogunwelu compound, Oke – Adu area in Ibadan North East, Akeem Olalekan Alade of Oju – Abere Compound, Inalende, Ibadan North West,Aderinto Adesoji of Sangodeyi Ikuola Compound, Idi – Arere in Ibadan South West and Adewale Idowu Akanmu Abonde, Abonde Compound, in Ibadan North East local government area.

Ladoja who spoke through the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin congratulated the newly installed Mogajis for assuming their new traditional positions as Mogajis of their family compounds.

He, however, warned the new Mogajis not to be involved in any nefarious activities and to shun social menaces such as land grabbing, drug abuse and corruption.

“You are my ambassadors anywhere you are, consequently, you should key into my vision of taking Ibadanland to a greater height.

“The paramount ruler warned the Mogajis not to be involved in any nefarious activities that can tarnish the image of Olubadan and Ibadanland such as land grabbing, hatred ,vendetta , drug abuse, corruption among others as you will be held responsible for any criminal act within your domains.”
