A New York citizen has revealed himself to be the owner of a home shared by Marvel's Peter Parker, and it just so happens to come with one major perk: letters to Spider-Man.

Queens resident Jack Shi, 64, opened up about his newfound relationship with the web-slinging superhero during an interview with the New York Post. He's the owner of the four-bed, four-bath, brick house at 20 Ingram St, Forest Hills, New York, and because of its relationship with a Marvel Comics icon, he's also become the proud owner of a collection of letters children have addressed to Spider-Man.

The Queens location also happens to share an address with one of Aunt May's homes in the comics. Naturally, it's become known as Spider-Man's house, but Shi didn't know that when he purchased it three years ago. That hasn't stopped fans of all ages from sending in fan mail to a character who, unfortunately, doesn't actually live there. Shi said he's taken his status as one of New York's most interesting homeowners seriously, regardless.

"I feel mild responsibility because Spider-Man, this is the American spirit," he said. "If I am living here, I should do as Spider-Man. If someone wants to take a picture, I say yes."

Shi may have received more letters to the Wall-Crawler in the last few weeks than he might be used to. Fans have swung their way to theaters to see Tom Holland's return as Peter Parker since Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiered July 31, 2026. It's exploded at the box office, and considering the film puts New York more in the spotlight than ever, Shi's role has become especially important.

"Spider-Man, how do you do the things that you do like saving the world?" one letter from a fan in South Dakota shared by the New York Post asked.

"Can you come over to my house to play? We can watch TV together," another addressed to both Spider-Man and Deadpool said.

Shi isn't the only one seeing an uptick in traffic since Spider-Man: Brand New Day came out. Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the PlayStation video game from developer Insomniac Games, has seen a significant boost in attention as players return to swing through New York themselves.
