According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson-based publication Most.

"The new federal list of textbooks recommended for use in Russian schools includes publications devoted to the history of Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories, including the Kherson region," the report says.

The list was approved by Russia's Ministry of Education.

In particular, a textbook titled The History of Our Region. Donbas and Novorossiya has been approved for students in grades 5–7. It is planned to teach the history of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions in the context of Russian history.

According to the occupiers, the textbooks are expected to be delivered to educational institutions starting September 1, 2026.

As Ukrinform reported, the educational process in the "schools" that the occupiers have managed to open in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region is at a very low level.
