LONDON, August 11. /TASS/. A Panama-flagged container ship was reportedly hit by a missile in the Gulf of Oman, Reuters said, citing UK’s Vanguard risk management group.

According to the company, the Vela Nova container ship was attacked 71 nautical miles off the coast of Pakistan.

Earlier, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported an incident involving servicemen and a container ship in the Gulf of Oman. The agency later specified that the vessel involved was a container ship, not a tanker.
