The trailer of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu’s upcoming action-thriller, Mirzapur The Movie was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday (August 11, 2026).

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film also stars Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Mohitt Maalik, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Pramod Pathak, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Shweta Tripathi, Sonal S. Chauhan, Anangsha Biswas, Shaji Chaudhary, Satendra Soni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles.

The trailer opens with Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj) remarking that the throne of Mirzapur cannot be obtained by politics or heritage but by muscle power. A series of quickly cut sequences show images of action and violence, where a character loses his hand during a fight. Munna Bhaiya returns in the film as it is set during the world of season 1 of the series, declaring himself as the prince of Mirzapur. He is seen to be in loggerheads with Guddu (Ali).

In the film, Jitendra plays the role of Guddu’s younger brother, which was essayed by Vikrant Massey in the show. Ravi’s character is introduced as a menacing gangster, who is eyeing the throne of Mirzapur as well. The film takes forward the gritty, gory tone of the show and promises to be a thrilling ride filled with dark humour and action.

Mirzapur The Movie is written by Puneet Krishna, and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani.

It will be released in theatres in Hindi and Telugu on September 4.
