Demi Lovato’s role in Camp Rock 3 has been confirmed after months of fan speculation.

The singer, 33, starred in the first two hit Disney Channel original movies in 2008 and 2010 alongside the Jonas Brothers, who were previously confirmed to be starring in the new film as well as serving as executive producers.

Lovato was also initially named as an executive producer without an on-screen role, but film execs stayed quiet and kept fans pleading for answers about whether she would appear in the third film — until now.

Disney producers announced Monday that Lovato will reprise her role as Mitchie Torres for a brief cameo in the new movie, which debuts Thursday.

The “Skyscraper” singer, who skyrocketed to fame after the release of the original Camp Rock movie, reunited with Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas at Monday’s Los Angeles premiere. She went on to share throwback pictures from the first two movies on Instagram, writing, “mitchie 4 ever #thisisme.”

Fans have been theorizing about Lovato’s part in the new movie after she surprised the crowd at the opening night of the Jonas Brothers’s tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey last August to perform “This is Me” from the 2008 film and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” from the 2010 sequel.

“What do you mean you won't be in Camp Rock 3? You're the star; it doesn't make sense for you not to be there,” one user wrote to Lovato on Instagram. Another shared in the comments, “ima need you in the movie!!!!! Please, that’s the only way I’ll watch. You are what makes the movie! Without you there is no movie.”

Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam are set at a music camp where Lovato’s character, a shy singer-songwriter, attends while her mom, played by Maria Canals-Barrera, works as the camp’s cook. Canals-Barrera will also be reprising her role in the new film.

In the movies, Mitchie sparks a romance with boy band member Shane Gray, played by Joe Jonas. The Jonas Brothers star as Connect 3, a fictionalized version of their real-life band of brothers.

Camp Rock 3 will follow Connect 3’s return to Camp Rock to find an opening act for their reunion tour. The newcomers include Liamani Segura, who stars as the “bold and determined” Sage opposite the “camp bad boy” Fletch played by Malachi Burton, according to the movie’s official logline.

The cast also includes Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean.

Veronica Rodriguez, who directed the new movie from a screenplay by Eydie Faye, told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Monday that she wanted to strike “the right balance” with Lovato’s involvement in the film.

“Her character literally says in the movie, to her mom, ‘This isn’t about me, it’s about them. It’s their time to shine. This is the new generation of campers,’” Rodriguez explained. “With Mitchie and Connect 3, we wanted them to be ingrained and necessary for the story but also leave enough room and space for the world to fall in love with the new generation of campers.”
