MANILA, Philippines – The 14th day of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial resumed Tuesday after Monday’s suspension due to heavy monsoon rains, with Commission on Audit Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office auditor Xylene Mae del Campo back on the witness stand to continue testimony on the alleged misuse of confidential funds. The prosecution raised alarm that the defense was slowing the trial by agreeing to compare thousands of acknowledgment receipts only on August 14, despite an earlier court directive to do so the previous week.
