The grand steps of the iconic Vidhana Soudha will turn into a concert stage on the evening of this Independence Day as part of the Freedom Habba, being organised by the State government.
Freedom Habba’s Music Collective brings together 10 of the city’s prominent music voices — Raghu Dixit, Praveen D. Rao, M.D. Pallavi, Bruce Lee Mani, Sanjith Hegde, Brodha V., Siddhartha Belamannu, Varijashree Venugopal, Harish Sivaramakrishnan and Nakul Abhyankar. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday.
“Independence Day should be experienced not just as a ceremony, but as a celebration we create together. What better way to bring Bengaluru together than through music, in a place that belongs to all of us?” said Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda.
While the entry is free, those who want to participate need to scan the QR code provided and register. Pre-registration is mandatory and should carry a valid government ID card for entry to the venue, as it is being held on the premises of the Vidhana Soudha.
