AirPods Pro 3 and more just got new public beta firmware

Apple released iOS 27 public beta 3 today, and now new beta firmware has also arrived for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, and more.

Last week, developers got access to new AirPods firmware for select models.

That beta firmware, with build number 9A5336b, was initially exclusive to the developer beta.

But now one week later, the exact same firmware is rolling out for public beta users too.

Essentially, your AirPods need an H2 chip to support the latest beta firmware.

iOS 27 will bring a variety of new features to AirPods, including a couple changes exclusive to AirPods Pro 3.

This beta firmware will be released around the same time as iOS 27 launches to the public.

Essentially, AirPods firmware combined with the iOS 27 software update serves as a package deal to support all the new features.
