LUCENA CITY – More than 10,000 families affected by the intensified southwest monsoon and Tropical Depression “Maymay” remain in evacuation centers across the Calabarzon region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said. “Based on reports gathered by DSWD Field Office IV-A from local governments, more than 10,000 families remain temporarily housed in 310 local government-operated evacuation centers,” the DSWD office in Region IV-A said in a report issued early Tuesday night (August 11).
