Mumbai-based paediatric nurse Lalita D'Silva has quietly become one of the most trusted childcare professionals among India's high-profile families. With over three decades of experience, she is currently caring for Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela's daughter, Klin Kaara Konidela, and has previously looked after Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. She also spent over a decade caring for Mukesh Ambani's youngest son, Anant Ambani.

Lalita recently made headlines after speaking about her work in an interview with Pinkvilla, where she described Ram Charan and Upasana as hands-on parents. She also addressed speculation surrounding her salary, saying the widely reported figures of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh per month were exaggerated.

Lalita began her career as a nurse at a private hospital in Mumbai before moving into private childcare. Her journey as a celebrity nanny started in 1996 when the Ambani family hired her to care for Anant Ambani. She remained with the family for nearly 11 to 12 years and continues to share a close bond with them.

Last year, on Anant's birthday, she posted a throwback picture with him and wrote, "Wishing my Anant a very, very happy birthday. God bless him. My Anant is all grown up now. The way he loves animals, I truly admire him. Love you, Anant, for your hard work towards animal welfare."

Over the years, Lalita has become a familiar name in celebrity circles. She later cared for Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's sons, Taimur and Jeh, before taking on the responsibility of looking after Ram Charan and Upasana's daughter, Klin Kaara.

Speaking about the Konidela family, Lalita said, "Everything about the family is very good. If I have to rest, Upasana madam takes care of the child. Since I am here, and they are in London, Ram Charan Sir and Upasana ma'am are taking care of their child. They are hands-on parents."

Her association with several celebrity families has also fuelled curiosity about her earnings. Responding to reports, Lalita said the figures circulating online were inflated. While she did not reveal her exact remuneration, she explained that the role demands round-the-clock attention, constant vigilance and very few conventional holidays, which is reflected in the fee she charges.

In addition to working as a paediatric nurse and nanny, Lalita now runs her own caregiving agency, drawing on decades of experience in childcare.
