Actor and Hindupur Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna suffered an injury, a muscle tear, reportedly after he slipped on a film set during an action sequence in the shooting of NBK 111 at the Kakinada deep-sea port on Tuesday (July 21, 2026).
Speaking to The Hindu, East Godavari Superintendent of Police G. Bindu Madhav said: “Mr. Balakrishna had slipped and fallen on the film set at the Kakinada deep-sea port, leading to an injury on his knee.”
On X, NBK 111 director Gopichand Malineni said: “During the shooting in Kakinada, Nandamuri Balakrishna sustained a minor muscle tear in an action sequence. He needs to undergo a minor surgery to recover fully, as per the doctors’ advice.”
Mr. Balakrishna has been shifted to a private hospital in Kakinada city.
