The Sims 4 has received free updates over the years that have significantly improved the game, but there are still some aspects that the developers should look deeper into. For example, there are over 30 worlds in The Sims 4, but the selection screen is just a boring menu that makes the worlds feel lifeless and disconnected from one another. Modder SimMattically decided that they wanted to improve players' experience while on the world selection screen, so they created the Immersive Map Mod, which puts all worlds into one big map.

The mod makes The Sims 4 look and feel like a single, cohesive world, which makes sense as many of them are based on real-life regions. SimMattically worked with Edkisn, an illustrator and graphic designer, to put together the world map. This is clearly Maxis match custom content (CC), as the map very much fits Maxis' creations compared to some hyperrealistic mods that may feel out of place. The artist did a great job meshing the worlds together while placing them in regions that match their real-life counterparts.

The mod works with the base game and The Sims 4's various packs. Besides official maps, the mod is compatible with CC maps. Players can choose where tooltips show the world's name and description. It's also possible to enable cloud animations, giving it a more realistic feel.

This is a single-file mod, so all players need to do to install it is drag the package file into The Sims 4 Mods folder. Because the mod is in early access, fans must subscribe to SimMattically's Patreon for $5 to download it. Otherwise, they will have to wait until its full release. Although it is not possible to say when it will be available for free, the creator has stated they always aim to release their mods to the public within a month or two.
