Soldiers from the 4th Ranger Regiment of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces carried out a raid on an enemy position in the Donetsk region and captured a Russian serviceman.
According to Ukrinform, the Special Operations Forces Command shared footage of the operation on Facebook.
"Operators of the 4th Ranger Regiment conducted a raid and captured a prisoner," the statement reads.
The military explained that the dense summer vegetation helped conceal the operators of the 3rd Special Operations Detachment, allowing them to detect the enemy position in time, approach undetected, and launch a successful assault while inflicting fire damage.
As a result of the operation, operators from the 4th Ranger Regiment captured a Russian serviceman who was identified as a citizen of the self-proclaimed Transnistria region.
The troops also seized enemy weapons, communications equipment, personal belongings, and, most importantly, valuable intelligence about Russian forces.
Earlier, operators of Ukraine's 8th Special Operations Regiment released footage showing the capture of two Russian soldiers during a similar raid in the Donetsk region.
