One fatality in Te Awamutu crash

One person has died following a crash in Te Awamutu in Waikato on Thursday morning.

The single vehicle crash at the intersection of Rickit Road and Hazelmere Cres was reported just after 9:20am.

The vehicle's sole occupant died at the scene, police said in a statement.

The road remains closed, and motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.
