On Wednesday, HAL reported a 14% YoY increase in revenue from operations to Rs 5,515 crore during the first quarter of FY27, from Rs 4,819 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26. The PSU’s total income rose over 15% YoY to Rs 6,415 crore, while total expenses also increased more than 15% YoY to Rs 4,263 crore during the quarter under review.

Its earnings per share (EPS) rose to Rs 23.77 apiece from Rs 20.69 apiece. The shares of the company closed around 2% higher on Wednesday after the release of the Q1 results.

Nomura on HAL share price

Nomura highlighted that HAL’s earnings beat estimates on all fronts in the first quarter of FY27, with visibility remaining healthy, led by manufacturing book and bill of 25x. The international brokerage now estimates the company to deliver FY26-29 EPS CAGR of 19%.Motilal Oswal on HAL share price

Motilal Oswal Financial Services also raised its target price for the shares of HAL to Rs 5,800 apiece from Rs 5,500 apiece, while maintaining its ‘Buy’ call on the stock. The latest target price implies more than 16% upside potential.HAL share price

HAL shares gained over 1.5% in a week and 11% in a month, overall recording around 14% gains so far in 2026. The stock is overall up over 10% in a year.In the longer term, HAL shares have delivered 164% returns over three years and 817% over five years. The company has a market capitalisation of more than Rs 3.34 lakh crore.
