Belagavi chapter of Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) will organise a blood donation camp in Belagavi in association with the Food Safety and Drugs Administration (FDA) on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day.

As a gesture of appreciation towards blood donors, The New India Assurance Company Limited will provide each donor with a Personal Accident Insurance Policy with a sum insured of ₹1 lakh, valid for one year.

The camp will be held in Mahaveer Bhavan in Hindwadi from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. KLE Blood Bank, BIMS Blood Bank, Mahaveer Blood Bank, and Belagavi Blood Bank, will participate in the camp.

JITO has organised six such camps in Belagavi till now, Harshavardhan Inchal , chapter chairman, said.

Another blood donation drive will be held in St. Paul’s High School premises in Camp area on August 15. It will be organised by the school’s NCC unit, PTA and NCC, PTA and Paulites of Belgaum Worldwide.
