MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has cracked down on an alleged online fraud syndicate in Pasay City, leading to the arrest of 20 individuals. In a statement on Thursday, the NBI said its investigation revealed that the syndicate engaged in so-called love scams, cryptocurrency investment fraud and “pig butchering” schemes.
