MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Drainage improvement projects in Barangays Banilad and Tipolo are ongoing as part of efforts to reduce flooding in two of Mandaue City’s flood-prone areas. Mayor Thadeo “Jonkie” Ouano on Tuesday, July 21 said that the drainage project along A.S. Fortuna Street in Barangay Banilad is now 91 percent complete. Meanwhile, the project along Lopez Jaena Street in Barangay Tipolo is 55 percent done. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Mandaue City Government are implementing both projects.
