Over the past day, on July 22, 261 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines.

According to Ukrinform, this information is contained in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on July 23.

The enemy launched two missile strikes, using three missiles, and carried out 78 airstrikes, dropping 267 guided bombs.

In addition, the Russians deployed 9,923 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,085 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 48 using multiple launch rocket systems.

The Defense Forces’ air force struck six areas where Russian troops were concentrated and two other key targets of the Russian invaders.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out two airstrikes, dropping eight aerial bombs, and conducted 53 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including one using MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 11 times in the area of Fygolivka and toward Ternova, Prylipka, Hrafske, Kutkivka, and Malyi Burluk.

In the Kupiansk sector, there was one Russian attack toward Kupiansk.

In the Lyman sector, Russian invaders attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 15 times, attacking in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka, and toward Lyman, Drobysheve, Stavky, and Ozerne.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces launched 25 assaults in the areas of Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and toward Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out five attacks in the area of Nykyforivka and toward Vasiutynske and Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 25 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Dovha Balka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 42 assaults by Russian invaders in the areas of Sofiivka, Toretsk, Shakhove, Nikanorivka, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Filiia, and toward Vilne, Kuchero-Yar, Nove Shakhove, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Myrne, Svitle, Shevchenko, and Serhiivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces carried out four attacks in the areas of Ternove and Kalynivske.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian invaders carried out 13 attacks toward Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Hirke, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled five Russian attempts to advance in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, and toward Pavlivka.

In the Dnipro sector, the Russian Federation’s army did not conduct any offensive operations.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian troops forming offensive groups were detected.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian military personnel from February 24, 2022, to July 23, 2026, reached approximately 1,434,690 personnel, of whom 1,460 were killed in the last 24 hours.
