Gemini is making new friends.
Google announced tons of new hardware during yesterday's Made by Google event, but that doesn't mean the company's AI didn't get a slew of important updates of its own.
Among them was the announcement that Gemini will soon be able to connect with a number of third-party apps. The list is quite long and includes productivity, health, lifestyle, entertainment, and home apps. Here's the list in full:
- Granola
- Otter.ai
- Wix
- Fever
- GetYourGuide
- Localize
- OpenTable (UK)
- Ticketmaster
- iHeartRadio
- Pandora
- Angi
- Thumbtack
- Zocdoc
In practice, you should be able to book a dinner reservation, a concert later that same day, and get a related Pandora playlist, all without leaving a convo with Gemini. Pretty sweet.
Google says that the ability for Gemini to connect with these will be rolled out "over the next weeks."
In related news, Google also said that Gemini has more than 1 billion monthly active users. That means it grew faster than any other product in the company's history, including search.
