During his recent appearance on The Rest is Entertainment podcast (via World of Reel), producer and author Richard Osman stated that actor Jack Lowden is “being strongly considered” to take over the role of James Bond in Amazon’s Bond 26.
The name Iâve heard is Jack Lowden. It is definitively not a âheâs definitely got itâ thing. He is definitely being strongly considered. I think heâd be amazing.
Cotton Eye Joe
Deadline reports Sean Gunn and Bill Moseley are attached to star in Cotton Eye Joe, a slasher film based on the popular folk song from Dolly director Brandon Weavil. The story is said to follow âfour friends that break down on a deserted country road and seek refuge in desolate farmland only to awaken the brutal legend of Cotton Eye Joe. As night falls, survival becomes a desperate game of cat and mouse at the hands of a relentless serial killer.â

Bloody-Disgusting reports Casper Kelly’s Buddy has been rated R for “bloody violence, some drug content and language â all involving children.â

Trees Are Watching
We also have an interesting trailer for Trees Are Watching, a psychological horror film from starring Eva Green as Darya, “a writer who returns to her hometown of Mardin with her deaf daughter and becomes haunted by memories of twin sisters Spin and Nihal. Their former family home now sits amid mass deforestation, with only two ominous trees remaining. Things get considerably stranger when Darya begins receiving nightly visits from a seemingly ordinary wooden chair that may be anything but.”
Heroes for Hire, Werewolf By Night 2, Strange Academy
According to a new rumor from insider Alex Perez (via Comic Book), Marvel is now moving forward on three new “special presentations” at Disney+. These include the planned series Strange Academy, a sequel to Werewolf by Night, and a Power Man/Iron Fist team-up reuniting Mike Colter’s Luke Cage with Finn Jones’ Iron Fist.
