A video-clip of a minor school boy fiercely attacking his junior at a government school in Madurai district has gone viral in social media.

The two-minute video was taken on the school premises on August 7.

The police said the parents of the two boys — one of Class 10 and the other of Class 9 — were summoned by the headmaster over a disciplinary issue. When the victim boy made some remarks, the Class 10 student started attacking him. A few teachers tried to pacify him, but he rained blows and kicked the Class 9 student.

A student videographed the entire incident with the mobile phone of a teacher. The clip was shared in the WhatsApp group of the teachers and subsequently leaked out . “After the video went viral, we have asked a report from the Chief Educational Officer as the incident was not reported to the police,” said District Superintendent of Police, N. Devanathan.
