Quick hits: Steve Smith's 'peanut', a triple reprieve and Mitch Starc's milestone moment
Steve Smith called a Bangladesh bowler a "peanut" for making an appeal, but he could probably have labelled a couple of his batting colleagues as such on a dire batting display for Australia. Here are the quick hits from day one of the first Test between Australia and Bangladesh.
Another beautiful day in Darwin
From where we'd rather be...

What happened yesterday?
It was a day to forget for Australia, who were outthought, outmanoeuvred and outplayed in the Darwin sunshine.
Hasan Mahmud took six wickets to help Bangladesh dismiss Australia for 198, before Tanzid Hasan (32no) and Mominul Haque (35no) led the Tigers to a score of 1-96 at stumps.
Goodness knows where Australia would be without Steve Smith's fighting half-century.

Good morning!
Hello and welcome to day two of Australia's winter of cricket.
I think it's fair to say the Australians were pretty off it yesterday — flat, seemingly uninterested, short of ideas and, despite an eight-month lead-in, surprised to be playing a home Test match in August.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, were sensational. So disciplined with both bat and ball, dominating the day from start to finish.
How will things change on day two?
My name's Henry Hanson and I will be joined by Simon Smale to bring you all the action from Darwin.
Let's go!
