Mr Paul Ibe, a media aide to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has lamented that former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai has spent 178 days in detention while Osun East senator, Francis Fadahunsi is walking freely after urging voters in the state to kill Accord Party members.

Ibe insisted that El-Rufai is wallowing in detention because he parted ways with President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Posting on X, he affirmed that Fadahunsi had confirmed that Tinubu was waging war against the opposition.

He wrote: “Former Governor of Kaduna State and chieftain of the @ADCNig, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai @elrufai, has spent 178 days in detention for parting ways politically with President Bola Tinubu’s ruling @OfficialAPCNg while Senator Francis Fadahunsi is walking freely and yet-to-be arrested after calling on members of his own party to kill members of the Accord.

“Even as el-Rufai is being detained, high profile members of Tinubu’s APC, who are standing trial for corruption, were cleared and are running for election! What other evidence do you need to confirm that Tinubu is waging a war against the opposition and not corruption.”

In a viral video, Fadahunsi had called on APC members in Osun State to kill all Accord Party members.

Following backlash from the comment, the lawmaker claimed that he only asked APC members to kill Accord supporters with their votes.
