President Trump’s signature hand moves and mannerisms were mimicked by a man sat behind him during a rally speech in Georgia.
The bizarre incident unfolded as Trump delivered remarks at a rally at Wheeler High School in Marietta Wednesday. During his speech, the president touted investments by Japan into the state, including a $600 million investment into a “cutting-edge diamond process facility.”
However, as Trump continued to boast about his record, a man dressed in a suit and tie sat a few rows behind him appeared to imitate the president’s so-called “accordion hands” gesture.
“And more money is being invested in the United States right now than at any time in the history of our country, and Americans are working today more so than ever before,” Trump said, apparently unaware he was being imitated.

As the president spoke, the as-yet unidentified man seemed to mouth some of Trump’s words in an exaggerated manner.
Trump went on to claim that the stock market has hit 73 “all-time highs” since the 2024 presidential election. Meanwhile, the man sat behind him began to pump his fists, as Trump often does on stage.
At one point the imitator holds up a TrumpAccounts.Gov sign and can be seen saying something to other attendees causing them laugh. One of those other attendees later joins in with the Trump dance.
Clips of the incident have been widely shared on social media, with one user on X calling the performance “wild”.
The rally took place after Trump visited Delaware for the dignified transfer of four U.S. service members who were killed amid the United States’ war with Iran.

The ceremony was the third such event that he had attended since the war between Iran and the U.S. began. At least 18 American service members have died since the war began in February.
During the Georgia speech, Trump described the conflict as a “skirmish”, despite the fact it has been ongoing since the end of February with no immediate resolution in sight.
“This skirmish we have with the Islamic Republic of Iran…and I call it that because, let me tell you, they’re getting hit so hard,” Trump claimed. “And they want to make a deal, but I say, they’re not ready to make a deal.”
The president went on to claim that Iran would be ready to make a deal “very soon,” but suggested that they had tried to change agreements previously.
