TDP functionary Betaraju Sridhar Varma has been appointed Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams’ (TTD) propagation arm Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC).

The decision to appoint him as Additional Director-cum-Chairman was taken by the SVBC board of directors in the form of a resolution passed at its recent board meeting.

The letter of appointment was handed over to Mr. Varma by TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, who is also Managing Director of the SVBC.

Earlier, the State government had cleared the proposal to fill the post lying vacant for over two years and chose Mr. Varma, who was till now serving as TDP’s State media coordinator. The new Chairman formally called on Mr. Ravichandra on Friday and assured to render justice to the post.
